In my opinion, I think the effects on 5ar inhibition and DHT are minimal, I have even seen PFS victims alleviate their symptoms through Curcumin use – and these are individuals who are extremely sensitive to 5ar inhibitors. The study conducted where Curcumin was used to lower DHT did use fairly high amounts of Curcumin above the previously recommended therapeutic dose. I am one of the unlucky ones with PFS, hence why I am so anal about this research. I know this is anecdotal and I agree more research in this area needs to be done, however I trust Derek from Moreplatesmoredates and his judgement. I don’t have any clinical evidence or resources to counter this observation. Next – there are studies suggesting Curcumin inhibits / blocks Androgen receptors and leads to degradation of androgen receptors .
